These are my Daily Disciplines for success that I track in my planner
- Rise & Shine Routine
- This routine is super important, and if I get "off" here it can throw my whole day off.
- For me this is waking up on without snoozing too much, eating breakfast, taking vitamins/meds, choosing clothes and jewelry, brushing my teeth, putting on deodorant, and reading the daily chapter of Proverbs
- I have a recurring reminder on my phone in the morning to remind me to read the chapter of Proverbs
- I actually don't track this one in my planner anymore now that I have switched from the equestrian planner to the good busy planner.
- Exercise
- I track this via the Fillable Days of the Year with a different color for either riding or working out (at least 20 minutes of continuous exercise)
- Horse-related Activity
- I track this via the Fillable Days of the Year with a different color for either riding or working with horses on the ground
- Gratitude
- Eat Healthy
- This can at times be pretty ambiguous and subjective if I am not tracking my food.
- I am most successful if I log my food either in MyFitnessPal or Noom (subscription required)
- Drink 8+ glasses of water
- I have found this is easiest to track within MyFitnessPal
- Chores/tidy
- i.e. tidying, going through mail, paying bills
- Usually this is tidying for me, and it can be argued that almost all chores can be said to be "tidying"
- I have found I am less stressed when things are more tidy, and doing a little bit every day keeps it from piling up and becoming an overwhelming task to accomplish.
- Don't Waste Time
- For me this means making sure I am a good steward of my time and not wasting it on Facebook or watching shows
- I have used the Screen Time function on my phone to help track and limit my time on social media
- Wash Face and Floss
- What I need to do to care for my body
- Stand goal on Apple Watch
- Sleep
- For me this is at least 6.5 hours each night
- I have a recurring reminder to let me know when it is time to start my bedtime routine
- Journal
- I write about my progress with my horses, what I specifically worked on with the horses, and general thoughts about the day. If there is something I would want to tell other people I will write it here to get it "out".
- Goal Review
- Read through my current goals, my dream life, and review my vision board
- My "Visualize" aspect of the daily SAVERS
- My Manifesto
- This is a list of positive statements about my values and who I want to be
- My "Affirmations" aspect of the daily SAVERS
- Feed My Spirit
- For me this is my daily devotional. In 2019 this was My Utmost for His Highest. On leap years (2020) I read the One Year Bible. I also have enjoyed devotionals on The Bible app and the First 5 app.
- Part of my "Silence" aspect of the daily SAVERS
- Prayer
- This includes my daily prayer, mission verses, and prayers for others
- Part of my "Silence" aspect of the daily SAVERS
- Read
- I like to read my Kindle while falling asleep, but I will also count other reading/audiobooks that day.
- Learn
- One of my passions is for learning. I want to soak in more information on a daily basis. Learning each day may look like listening to a podcast or webinar, reading an article, or watching a training video.
