- Top Trail Horse - GPS Tracking and Logging Program for Horseback Trail Riders
- This is a fun program to compete in racking up the miles and rides outside of an arena!
- Cowboy Dressage World
- North American Trail Ride Conference (NATRC) - Competitive Trail Riding
- This is a sport that encompasses many areas of horses: trail riding, obstacles, stabling, health, and partnership. It is not a race, but a paced event. You compete by going on a trail ride at a predetermined pace to finish within an acceptable window for total time. During the ride the horse & rider are judged on how well they complete various obstacles. A veterinarian will also check on metabolic of the horse, and there are also for pulse & respiration readings of the horse to determine fitness. This is a fun way to spend the weekend camping, out on the trail, and laughing with like-minded riders!
- Ivy's Glide Gait - Train a Smooth Gait Naturally
- Ivy is one of my favorite gaited horse trainers, and I own many of her DVDs. Her methods have helped me with my TWH.
- Naturally Gaited - Dressage for the Gaited Horse
- This is a blog about a gaited horse owner and her lessons as she pursues classical dressage with her gaited horses. The posts are very well written and insightful. I've enjoyed seeing how she uses classical dressage principals and the results in her gaited horses.
- Softness by Mark Rashid
- I enjoy this book because it opens my eyes to the lack of softness in my life and how horses can respond to the softest of cues.
